What Is A PRP Procedures?
A PRP procedure is a non-surgical treatment that involves injecting Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) to rejuvenate the skin and tissues. This process requires drawing a small amount of blood from the patient. Depending on the treatment being performed, multiple tubes of blood may be collected. The blood is then spun to separate the Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) from the blood plasma to then be re-injected into the patient. Platelets are very small cells in your blood that are involved in the clotting process. When PRP is injected into the body it stimulates healing response by helping our own stem cells to grow new collagen and microvascular blood vessels, which will enhance shape, texture, tone and sensation.
